But there are reasons for many people to have a tool like this, even if they don't have a hydroelectric generator or four-lane suspension bridge to maintain. The tool itself (which I own as part of a larger set) is good quality. The length gives good leverage. It's strong. And Wright offers rebuild kits if you do mangle the drive bits, although these are not cheap. If you work with industrial tools, you are probably familiar with Wright, and you don't need this review to buy it! If you don't work in industrial settings, though, there are still good reasons to have this. While a 1/2" set is adequate for almost all users, heavily rusted bolts may require up to three times the torque to remove compared to the torque originally used to fasten them, according to the Wright web site. The table secures pretty tight, but not solid to the drill press table. As long as you don't accidentally bump it, it should hold fine. The table was large enough to easily drill concealed hinges on cabinet doors that were 48" in length without having to clamp the work piece to the table. This review is from: MLCS 9405 Multi-Joint Spacing System for Creating Box Joints and Sliding Dovetails (Tools & Home Improvement) Interesting system, but you absolutely must use their upcut bits because otherwise you won't have enough height to the bit above their fence board. I tried Bosch and dewalt, they all adjust their height without difficulty BUT, the upcut bits are longer than other bits --2 1/2 to 3 inches long, more than enough to pass through the fence and provide adequate height for routing. I initially used a "red" dovetail bit for my project and could not gain sufficient height. I'm currently making a setup block for this system,we'll see how that goes. But at least it has a positive wife acceptance factor,trust me if wives don't understand it or why you need.....it will be you're buying more tools again,don't you have enough. The instruction booklet is not available on their website due to copyright reasons,so if one isn't included in the box, you lose it, mangle it , the dog or aliens eat it.....you'll have to contact MLCS for it, I did .....they want proof of... I've had it for 6 months and I use it to cut cardboard paracord nylon straps and this little guy is still sharp. I love the belt clip and the size. If ur thinking about getting it. It looks awesome, had a very solid design, and is cuts what I need effectively. I only have a couple gripes: because of the size of my hands (a bit larger than average), the end of the handle digs into my palm rather than curve with it. In the grand scheme of things, that's nothing big--I'm not going to use this for extensive hand-to-hand combat or anything. My other problem also pairs with a good aspect: the belt clip. This clip features a push button release that locks onto the finger hole. While the belt clip is great, I don't like that the knife easily rotates while on the clip. This allows the knife to swing around and get caught on things. It's a small issue, but can be annoying if you move around a lot. Lastly, I wish it wasn't so expensive.
